
The Cross Country Team braved the torrential rain in Manhattan last Saturday and came home with 2 medals, a new school record, and lots of mud on their backs! It was a fantastic end for our Cross Country Team who were competing in this State meet against high school students from across the state! (The team that competed this year for Veritas were all junior high students!)
Emmy Mast - 4th Place!
Liv Maddox - 9th Place!
Miriam Harrod - broke her previous PR by 5 minutes and 10 seconds!
Sawyer Drewry - set a new School Record for junior high 5K, beating the previous record by 2 minutes and 15 seconds!
Colin Christline - also beat the previous School Record by 2 minutes!

Cross Country had another FANTASTIC meet last night against some of their hardest competition of the season! ALL of our junior high girls won medals! Emmy Mast (1st), Liv Maddox (2nd), Miriam Harrod (5th), Amelia Rozzie (11th).
Sawyer Drewry placed 3rd in the 7th grade race and set a new school record for the 4th time this season!
Colin Christline placed 7th in the 8th grade race!
Juliana Yaluk-Shults medaled in her 4th straight race placing 21st overall in the Varsity Women’s race!

The Cross Country team had a great meet last night at the Lawrence City Championships! The Middle School Girls WON the meet for the second year in a row! Three runners Emmy (1st), Liv (2nd) and Miriam (8th) won medals!
In the 7th grade boys race, Sawyer came in 1st place!
And in the 8th grade race, Colin Christline also won a medal, coming in 6th!
You can catch both high school and middle school runners in action TODAY (Thursday) at Hummer Sports Park in Topeka. 7th grade girls run at 3:30, 7th boys at 4:00, 8th grade at 4:30, and High School Girls at 5:30.

Cross Country had a great meet in Wabaunsee yesterday! The middle school girls team took 2nd place, with 3 girls earning medals: Emmy Mast (2nd), Liv Maddox (3rd), Miriam Harrod (13th).
Sawyer Drewry (8th) and Colin Christline (10th) both placed in the top 10. Sawyer broke his own school record for a third time this year with a time of 12:45.59.
Juliana Yaluk-Schults took place 5th overall in the Varsity girls race!

It's been a great week for Eagle Athletics!
Yesterday, Sawyer Drewry set a new SCHOOL RECORD for the Cross County Boys' 2 mile race, earning him a 4th place medal at their meet! He beat the previous record by nearly 25 seconds! Four other Eagles brought home medals at the meet: Emmy Mast (1st), Liv Maddox (2nd), Colin Christine (8th), and Miriam Harrod (14th). Way to go Eagles!
In Volleyball, the Junior High teams continued on their winning streak with a win over Faith Christian Academy! The Varsity did not win their match but it was a competitive and exciting match to watch!
